Mark is the President and 50% owner of S & S Property Management and is responsible for finance, property accounting, and property management. Mark co-founded S & S Property Management in December 1988. He directs the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial affairs of the properties.
Prior to forming S & S, Mark was Vice-President of Finance of a major property management company from September 1987 to December 1988. As Vice-President of Finance, he was responsible for the financial operations of sixty apartment complexes. He was directly responsible for cash management, lender relations, and development of company policies.
From September 1985 to September 1987, Mark was Comptroller for McCalla Properties, Inc. which was a developer. He was responsible for all finance, accounting, tax, and property management. He developed lender relations, developed new project financial forecasts, established project budgets, and was responsible for reporting.
From September 1978 to August 1985, Mark was accounting manager for Ryder Financial and Communication Services, Inc. In this position, he was responsible for control and analysis of all accounting systems which interfaced with all levels of management.
Mark has a Master of Business Administration from The University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Accounting and a minor in Computer Science from the University of Alabama. He is a Tennessee licensed broker and has been a Certified Property Manager since 1995.
